How to Avoid It

Is your Vagus Nerve prone to dysfunction

even though

you run generic PEMF frequencies,

practice breath work or perform exercises specifically

to tone the Vagus Nerve?

If you need to repeatedly reboot and regulate your Vagus Nerve,

then you need to go beyond treating it generically and understand

there is not one simple way to treat the Vagus Nerve.

Do you know what the symptoms are of

Vagus Nerve Dysfunction?

Symptoms can include:

·       No gag reflex: This is also called the pharyngeal reflex and occurs when something

touches the back of the throat.

·       Dysphagia: This is when a person finds it difficult to swallow.

·       Vocal problems: A person may be unable to speak or their voice may sound hoarse.

·       Gastroparesis:  Where food does not easily move from the stomach into the

        intestine which can cause GERDS

·       GERDS: Gastroesophageal reflux disease is the condition causing heartburn and

reflux of acid from the stomach into the oesophagus.

·       Abdominal bloat: The person feels full quickly and experiences bloating and pain in

their abdomen.

·       Nausea and Vomiting: The person feels and becomes ill

·       Lack of appetite: The person does not feel hungry.

·       Vasovagal Syncope: Vasovagal syncope is a condition found in some people who faint

when their blood pressure drops or due to emotional stress.

·       Dizziness: A person may feel dizzy with vagus nerve dysfunction.

·       Increased episodes of emotional anxiety and stress when the ventral branch of the vagus nerve is dysfunctional.

Do you know what the causes are of

Vagus Nerve Dysfunction?

Vagus Nerve dysfunction can be caused by exposure to

Mold, Viruses, Lyme and other Bacterial & Parasitic Infections, Heavy Metals (such as mercury in amalgam fillings), Glyphosates in the food chain, & Musculoskeletal Injuries such as Whiplash and/or Repeated Emotional Trauma (PTSD).

Once exposed, they can be dumped into the lymph nodes of the neck due to the resultant inflammatory response and edema.  This can be exaggerated by the presence of inflamed tonsils, sinuses, infected root canals, and cavities in the

jawbone.  These toxins then migrate via the resultant edema to local nerve endings and

travel across the blood brain barrier into the brain and make their way toward the brainstem where they can impact any of the Cranial Nerves including

the Vagus Nerve and the whole Nervous system.

An interesting note…Dr. Carol McMakin, FSM teacher/author,

calls the tonsils the dustbin of the brain.

Quick Reminder

What is the VAGUS NERVE dysfunction and why is it’s so important?

The Vagus Nerve (cranial nerve X) is the main nerve of the parasympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system.  The Vagus Nerve regulates homeostasis by controlling heart rate variability, the digestive tract and its contents, hormonal function, glucose production, and other visceral functions.  In addition, the Vagus Nerve is a major constituent of the inflammatory reflex which controls innate immune responses and levels of inflammation during exposure to parasites, Lyme, EBV, toxins, heavy metals, and musculoskeletal injury.  When present, dysfunction of the Vagus Nerve can contribute to chronic inflammation, which is implicated in many chronic diseases including diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, and dementia as well as mental health conditions like anxiety and depression.
